MICAT 2017: Registration, Exam Dates, Sample Paper, Admission

MICAT is an acronym for MICA Admission Test is the postgraduate level entrance examination for admission to 180 seats of Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Communications (PGDM-C) offered by MICA, Ahmedabad. MICAT 2017 Registration

The application process for both phases of MICAT will be done online. Candidates can make the MICAT 2017 registration from the official link. The application form for phase one of MICAT 2017 has been released from 30th September 2016. The last date to submit the application form will be 25th November 2016.

To fill the application form, firstly candidates have to register online. After the completion of successful registration, an e-mail containing User ID and password has been sent to your mail ID. Access your account and proceed towards the filing of online application form. The costs of the application form will be application fee of Rs 1965. Payment can be made either Credit Card, Demand Draft and Counter Payment (cash payment in MICA admission office).

MICAT Selection Process

The MICAT Selection Process for the batch 2017-2019 is mentioned here:
Step-I: Firstly, candidates have to qualify any one of these three exams, i.e. CAT 2016, XAT 2017 or GMAT (2017 onwards)
Step-II: Students are required to clear the MICAT (MICA Admission Test) which comprises of various sections like Psychometric (P), Verbal ability (VA), General awareness (GA) , Divergent-Convergent Reasoning (DCR), Quantitative ability (QA),and Descriptive Test (DT). Qualified candidates will be considered for short listing for GE & PI rounds.
Step-III: Shortlisted candidates after MICAT are needed to appear for GE & PI both rounds. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of GE & PI. After the completion of all rounds a final result will be declared for admission.

MICA Admission Test Eligibility

Eligibility conditions required to be fulfilled by the candidates before applying for the MICAT 2017 are as follows:
  • Candidate must have Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recognized bachelor degree or its equivalent qualification passed in any discipline.
  • Bachelor degree final year candidates are also eligible to apply.
  • It is necessary for MICAT aspirants to hold a valid score either in CAT 2016, XAT 2017 and GMAT (2015 onwards). Those satisfying this condition will only be eligible to apply for MICAT 2017.

MICAT Exam Pattern 2017

MICAT 2017 is completely computer based test. It test candidates skills in Divergent Thinking Abilities, Written Communication Abilities, General Awareness about contemporary social and business issues, including areas relevant to media, marketing, advertising & current affairs and Analytical & Verbal Abilities. The question paper also includes questions on Psychometric Test.

MICAT 2017 Admit Card

Candidates will be able to download the MICAT 2017 Admit card for phase one on 2nd December 2016. Admit card will be accessible online only through the website. Entry in the examination hall will not be granted without admit card.

MICAT 2017 Result

Result for MICAT 2016 phase one will be announced on 19th December 2016. After the announcement of results, GE-PI rounds will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates. The final result of PI-GE will be declared on 31st March 2017.

GMAT 2017: Registration, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus

The GMAT 2017 (Graduate Management Admission test) is an International level entrance exam managed by the GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council). It is organized to provide admissions in undergraduate management courses offered by foreign institutions and universities. More than 6,000 graduate business school programmes world-wide consider GMAT score for admission in management courses offered by them. GMAT exam is available in 114 countries with more than 600 test centers around the world. Here in this article, we are providing information related to GMAT 2017 including registration, eligibility, important dates, etc.
Candidates who wish to appear for GMAT 2017 exam, must be aware of the exam dates and schedule of the exam. There is no such prescribed date for the GMAT exam. Candidates may schedule the test date and exam centre as per their choice and convenience. It must be noted that candidates may give GMAT test up to five times in period of 12 months, but no more than once in a month period.

GMAT 2017 Registration

  • The GMAT 2017 Registration is available all the time (12 months)throughout the year.
  • Candidates can register for this exam as per their preference.
  • The exam dates and center can also be scheduled as per the candidate’s choices.
  • Candidates can apply for this exam one time within a month and not more than five times in a year.
  • Candidates can register for GMAT exam through the official site of GMAT.
  • The exam fee payment will be made through Visa, MasterCard, American Express and JCB cards.
  • Payment also can make through Cashier’s Checks, Money Orders and Personal Checks.
  • Candidates are required to pay $ US 250 exam fee.
  • Candidates are suggested to keep safe their registration details for further process.

Eligibility Criteria

There is not any fixed eligibility criteria mentioned for GMAT exam. Candidates should meet the basic eligibility criteria for this exam which is mentioned below:
  • Candidates must have the minimum age of 18 years.
  • There is no any upper age limit criteria
  • Candidates must have cleared graduation degree from any recognized institution or university.
  • Other eligibility criteria will be set by the university or institution where candidate is seeking for admission.

GMAT Exam Pattern

The GMAT question paper comprises of different type of questions.
  • No of Questions: The question paper will contain total 91 questions.
  • Mode of Exam: This exam will be held through online mode (computer based test).
  • Duration: Candidates will get 3 hours, + 30 minutes duration for GMAT exam.
  • Subjects: The exam will consist of total four sections such as Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal.

Preparation Tips

Firstly plan your preparation time for GMAT exam. Prepare a good time-table as per to the suitable time and divide time equally for all the topics, give some extra time to difficult topics. Choose the best exam preparation books. Practice previous question papers it will help candidates to know about the exam pattern, question weightage, etc.

GMAT Syllabus

Before preparing for exams, candidates should have gathered all the information regarding syllabus. The GMAT Syllabus will be composed of Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA), Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal sections. In AWA you will be asked to analyze the reasoning behind a given argument (topic) and write a critique of that argument. Integrated reasoning will measure candidate’s skills to evaluate information presented in multiple formats from multiple sources. The Verbal section will contain various topics such as read and understand written material, evaluate arguments and correct written material to conform to standard written English.

GMAT Question Papers

Candidates may also practice from the previous year GMAT question papers. The previous year papers are quite helpful for the students as through these paper candidates get aware of the exam pattern, marking scheme, topics asked etc.

GMAT 2017 Admit Card

The GMAT 2017 Admit Card will be downloaded through the official site of GMAT. Candidates will be informed through email to download their admit card after few days of the exam appointment. The admit card will contain information such as candidates name & roll number, exam center, exam date & timing, exam instructions, etc. Candidates note down it is mandatory to bring the admit card and ID proof on the examination day.

GMAT 2017 Result

The GMAT 2017 Result will be provided to candidates within three weeks of the examination date. Candidates can check their result through the official website of GMAT. Candidates will be intimated for the score card through e-mail which includes important instructions for online access to score card. The GMAT Score card will contain Analytical Writing Assessment score, past five years GMAT exam scores, personal data provided at the time of registering. Candidates are advised to take printout of your score card for further use.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT 2017) is a national level entrance examination which is conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is an online computer based test. Every year large number of candidates apply for this exam. The test is held for the candidates who are interested in management courses offered by the various management colleges in India. CMAT 2017 Registration

  • The CMAT 2017 Registration has been started from 10th October 2016.
  • Registration is invited through the online process only.
  • Candidates can register for CMAT till 15th December 2016.
  • The candidates are requested to fill the form correctly and completely.
  • As any wrong or incomplete information may lead to the rejection of the application form.
  • The candidates are also suggested to take the printout of the CMAT Registration 2017 form for the security purpose.

Registration Fee

  • The registration fee for the (General/ OBC) candidate is Rs. 1400/- and for the (PD/SC/ST) candidate is Rs. 700/- only.
  • The candidates can pay the fee through the online payment mode by using debit card/ credit card /net banking. The candidate can also pay the fee through Cash Payment in SBI Bank.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must be the citizen of India.
  • Minimum qualification to appear for the test is graduation. The candidates who have completed their graduation in any of the streams like science, commerce and arts can apply for the exam.
  • The candidates who are in the final year of the graduation can also apply for the exam.

CMAT Exam Pattern

  • Type of Paper: The questions will be of objective type.
  • Duration: The test is having the duration of three hours.
  • No. of Questions: Question paper will be consisted of 100 questions.
  • Sections: There will be four sections.
  • Each section will consist of 25 questions.
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will carry four marks.
  • Negative Marking: There will be negative marking. For every incorrect answer one mark will be deducted.

CMAT Syllabus

The questions will come mainly from the four subjects they are quantitative techniques and data interpretation, logical reasoning, language comprehension and general awareness.

Preparation Tips

The candidate can solve the previous year unsolved papers. The candidates should also analyze each mock and sectional test that they take. This will help them ascertain what worked or did not work for them. The analysis basically is about finding the questions that were easy but were not attempted and about realizing why did a particular question wasn’t answered correctly.

CMAT 2017 Admit Card

The candidates will get the CMAT admit card 2017 through our site. The candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card. The admit card will be available on 13th January 2017.

CMAT 2017 Answer Key

Students can check their answers and can calculate their marks and score with the help of the answer key. Hence after completion of the exams students need not to wait for the result for their score as they can calculate their marks and score from the answer key. CMAT entrance exam answer key will be declared after one/two weeks of the examination.

CMAT 2017 Result

Candidates can check the CMAT Result 2017 from our website. Whenever the result will be announced we will update in our website. The result will be announced on 10th February 2017.

CMAT 2017 Counselling

The CMAT counselling 2017 will be conducted in the month of May 2017. After the declaration of the result. The candidates will be allotted the college according to their rank in the merit list. Hence after the declaration of the result the merit list will be prepared and sent to various management colleges for the allotment of seats through central counselling. In case if there will be no counselling then candidates can apply for the management colleges as per their score card
